For the most part...from what I've heard...most chicks in metal suck unless she is just the bass player..there are exceptions to that of course.
I am in a band (Kitsuune) with 2 other females and we don't think of ourselves as girls when we are playing. If someone were to stumble upon our jamspace and heard us without seeing us..they would expect big metal dudes to come out.
We do have a male drummer and didn't start off trying to get a bunch of chicks in our band...but it just happened.
It's really according to who it is.

I would not really say there is anything "just" about being a bass player. A bassplayer that copies the guitarist in everything is a crappy bass player, no matter male or female. More and more people I encounter tend to believe playing bass is playing guitar on one string, which is bullshit...

Why do you think most chicks in metalbands suck? It's not like there are a huge number of all female extreme bands established that can be compareable to male equals. Of course a guitarist that has played for 10 years will "suck" more than one with 20 years of experience...

I'll be honest, in my band 90% of the time I'm doing what the guitars do, however I'm in a Swedish influenced death metal band, so our music is all over the place.
Back on subject, I could care less if a band is all girls or not. If they can play their instruments and they write good music that I can get into, what's the difference?

Members r chics... It's not really a matter of all chic bands or not. Quite frankly I'd rather play with the guys than a group of girls... Given there are some really talented female metal musicians out there, for the most part they're chics looking for some attention.... But everyone has their own opinions on the subject...

it sucks because a lot of chiks out there are trying to start an all girl band for the wrong reasons, which leads to a break up and what not..but its possible.. just like it is for an all guy band to be..i honestly wish to find some cool chiks that i can jam with who actually have the passion for the metal music and take their shit seriously, and arent about the looks n etc..but its just so hard to find females like that...
